Privacy Policy
AZ Home Prep (“we,” “us”) is an education-first platform that helps Arizonans understand how to buy, own, protect, and improve a home. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple on purpose — and we never sell your information.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email, and phone number when you sign up or request a consultation; the questions and messages you send the Prep Coach; and any topics you save to your account.
- Account information. If you create an account, we store your profile, your readiness plan, and saved items.
- Automatically collected.Basic usage and device information, and data stored in your browser (see “Cookies & local storage” below) needed to run the site.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and build your personalized prep plan.
- To follow up with you about homeownership education and, if you ask, to schedule a free consultation.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
The Prep Coach (AI)
The Prep Coach is an AI assistant. To generate responses, your messages are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic). Please don't share sensitive personal or financial details — Social Security numbers, full account numbers, or income documents — in the chat. The coach is built not to ask for them, and anything specific to your loan or application is handled by Nic personally through a secure, compliant process, not through the chatbot.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed:
- Google Firebase — hosting, database, and sign-in.
- Google reCAPTCHA— to protect our forms from spam and abuse (subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms).
- Anthropic — to power the AI Prep Coach.
- Calendly — if you choose to book a consultation.
We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and browser storage only for essential functions — keeping you signed in, remembering where you are in a conversation, and running spam protection. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide education and follow-up, and as required by law. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your information, or opt out of follow-up, by emailing nic@azhomeprep.com. If you have an account, you can update or remove much of it directly from your account page.
Children's privacy
AZ Home Prep is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We use industry-standard protections, including access-controlled databases and abuse protection. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above.
